| I am looking for a cheap mother board that supports 168 dimm memory, amd proccesors, and has no onboard sound or video. Even though I am looking for an economy board I still want it to have decdent speed. It will have an 1800+, 512 mb(2x 256) of pc 133, ethernet network card, and a sound blaster audigy. I am going to run this with linux in tandem with my windows box. Any suggestions on Mobos would be greatly appreciated. | ||

| Maybe the Msi K7T Turbo 2? It has onboard sound, but it could be disabled. | ||

| It all depends what its gonna be used for and if the apps require alot of memory bandwidth. Although, you could get a board with ddr and sdr ram slots like this one so if the machine seems a bit slugish, you could upgrade it to ddr memory. Last edited by Evileagle; 27-July-03 at 11:18 PM.. | ||
