Default Pissing me OFF

ok im having this problem with this new computer that i need fixed.

what happens is after i turn off the computer for the night and leave it off when i come back and try to open it up the first time it wont open up, the led fans would turn on and **** but nothing will boot up. i have to then hold the power button and then try again hold the power button and boot up again after 3-5 times it boots up. this is pissing me off so much.

also my cd rom drive, i just changed the faceplate but the friggin bay wont come out. is their a special way to bring it out, its like its stuck!

*whenever i push open on the cd writer the cdwriters led would start blinking over and over and over and making this wierd noise like TSS TSS...

You're confusing me...

"after i turn off the computer for the night and leave it off when i come back and try to open it up the first time it wont open up"

Are you turning the computer off, or just logging off?

What operating system are you using?

What hardware setup?

Anything new in your rig lately?

More information please...

Should be a small hole in the cdrom faceplate. push in a paperclip and it should release the tray.

im running xp and heres what happens i turn off pc for the night and when i come in morning to boot it up it wont boot up at first try... ill have to try booting it like 3-5 times b4 it boots up. Resetting the psu will fix it but i dont think its normal having to reset the psu once a day is it?

and bout the cdrom i figured it had a wiring issue from the begging im shipping it to newegg for repair. ALSO i didnt succeed in painting this drive

sounds like a weak cmos battery for the booting issue.

is it actually shutting off,or is it going into suspend or hibernation?try to use the keyboard or mouse to wake it rather than hitting the power switch.

those batteries don't last forever. esp if they were cheap to begin with.

RMA will cost much more than a $2 cmos battery.
to test the battery.
after shutting down the pc.
remove power cord from the wall to stop all current to the mobo.
remove cmos battery (most likely a CR2032)
test voltage with a multi meter if it's a cr2032 it should be around 3vDC if it's less then that then you have a weak battery.

more questions.
when you reboot does it work fine?
how big is your PSU?
what's in this rig for hard ware?

if your bios has hardware monitoring ,it will tell you the cmos voltage and rail voltages from the psu.while in bios go through your acpi settings.when back in windows check advanced power settings for power button function.
after doing this is the time to start checking hardware issues(swap in another psu to start with, low amperage probably won't show in bios).

no im basically having trouble booting the computer up and it actually booting up straight forward without having to try again and again and again Usually after a a good nights sleep the pc wont boot up and ill have to either A) Reset PSU or B) hit Power repateadly (and emergency shut down after each one) this aint normal and i will check all the power on stuff tomorrow.

lol fuel that blowz

DAMN! You slept for 11 hours 45 minutes? You must have one hell of a backbreaking job.

In control panel go to your power settings and turn them all to off.

have you tried flashing the BIOS to the latest version? How about swapping power supplies with another known good one?

It almost sounds like it's UNDERclocking...or the voltages are low or something...
