ok so im lookin for some new mem
i want CAS2 PC3500 2x256 (so i can take adavantage of my duel mem on my nf2

)

im wanderin whats the best brand i can get for cheap????
i want good stuff, but i dont wanna pay out the a$$

OCZ or Corsair is what you looking at then. Geil is great but way too much $$$.

At newegg.com i didn't see any Corsair pc3500 twin pack, but one stick of 256mb was like $90. I did see a Geil twin pack for $118, that's with the copper heat spreaders $99 for the golden dragon twin pack. In this case I'd go with the Geil with the copper heat spreaders but maybe with a lil searching you could find corsairs for the same or less

I'd go with the golden dragon just cause it's cheaper in this situation. I just got a gig of the geil with the heatspreader, and love it. I would reccomend Geil very much

Huh? I do not comprehend...Corsair costs more than Geil, and that would be by a considerable amount.

Anyways, I would reccomend Geil since $150 is just too much for a stick from Corsair. Yes, I have a nice stick of Corsair that I bought for $142 but I was not aware of the nice memory Geil was making at the time I bought all my parts.

Yeah but I dunno the price of Geil locally, but its way too expensive compared to Corsair whenever I look online @ local resellers.

i second the golden dragon, i've got the exactly mentioned pair in my fic au11, works likea charm, only one complaint, one of the two "dragon eye" led's wasn't working when it shipped, not a big deal, not worth and rma in my opinion.

Cheaper to buy the twin pack. ANd you're assured it'll be a compatible for dual channel.

Plus, you get that sweet blue acrylic packing box thing.

I have to agree with everyone here. I have a stick of corsair, but with posts made my members recently on their overclocking ability with the Geil ram Id have to point you in that direction. The Golden Dragon I believe is supposed to run a little cooler because of the way it is mounted to the stick. Either the Golden Dragon or the Geil with the gold heat spreaders will work great for you.
