Default which bios update??

Ok, so i'm having this problem that sometimes, well most of the time i exit my bios (change something or not) it reboots but then the hard drive spins and nothing happens. So i wait until the hard drives stop spinning and manually restart and everything is fine, any changes i might have made are in effect. So i though that updating the bios would slove this problem. Went to abits website and thats were i got confused.

There is a link on the first page to this bios update:
http://www.abit-usa.com/downloads/bi...es=1&model=124

but then if you goto the product page (NF7-S) can click on the support link for bios/driver you get this bios:
http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/...ries=1&model=6

Going by the version number you would want the later, right?? Well i updated to that version and i still have my problem. So did i update to the wrong bios??

Maybe it's not a bios issue.

you wan't to look at the board that's the only way to be 100% sure of your revision, it's worth the time to look.

you may also want to check your CMOS battery.
are your overclocked?

What revision is your board? If you have the Rev. 2 board you want the first link. The V2.0 BIOS 16. The other Bios is for earlier boards even though it has a higher number. Notice the NF7-S BIOS 19 has no V2.0 in the name.

I generally hit the forums for bios info.

It says the version next to the make/model on the motherboard itself.

i got it but don't know how to get the screenshots to post here.

also. I tried messing around with some setting and it restarts just fine if i change the fsn setting (and only that). But if i overclock it at all except for changing the multiplier to 16 i start to get problems. Think my ram is bad? I was thinking that cause i get these blue screens of death everynow and then.

or is all of this because i have that pelt hookedup to my psu???
