Lightbulb Convert to MSI 875P Neo-LSR

I currently have a pretty crappy M/b and I am looking towards buying a MSI 875P Neo-LSR for my P4 2.0g Northwood.

The question I have is whether or not the conversion from my Via chipset to Canterwood will make me have to reformat my hardrive.

Thanks for all your guys help.

You'll probably want to reinstall Windows and look for updates since it is a new chipset...

In answer to your question, TyP3-R, yes. When making such a fundemental change to you system it is always advisible to reformat and start with a fresh clean install so there will be no complications down the line.

Thnx, the next question I have is whether anyone out there has a MSI 875P Neo-LSR and if so do they have any problems with it. I have read good reviews but the ones I have read said minor bios problems but besides that they all say really good things about it.

I don't know of anyone here, and if they are minor probs they probably have fixes out.

Actually, I'm interested in hearing about that board myself. I'm considering going with Intel for Optimus Prime.
