Default DFI Lan Party NF2-Ultra 400 ???

Seen em around, they've piqued my interest... problem is, I can find nary a review of them, nor have I any clue as to their overclocking potential....

So what have you guys heard?

I take it you guys haven't heard anything about it either...

The one review I saw of it (a customer review on newegg) said it was a great board... just didn't glow all that much. Of course, I'm thinking he didn't have enough UV light going off in the case (Like the KT400 Lan Party review I saw... only 1 light in a lousy case with wires covering pretty much every part of it... )

If it fits the UV-glow theme... it'd be worth it.

I mean, look at Kage's silver themed case... he gave up a little to fit his theme.

Also they come with green UV rounded IDE cables, and a front usb port bezel thing.

Here is one review: http://www.pcextreme.net/dfi_nf2ultra1.php

Here is another review: http://www.tech-report.com/reviews/2...y/index.x?pg=1

Also Julius, the guy at my local PC Club said they were good....

I too am interested in this board, because my new case will be black with green UV DYE in the WA WA and lights and such.

hehe they give u alot of goodies to go along with their boards like UV glow round ide cables, Front panel I/O mount for 5.25" bay, and a carrying jacket for the case.... no wonder they call themselves "DFI LANPARTY" .. i think they are priced well for the package and grab attention of lil n00bs hanging around your lan.. hehe

Wel I'm using the DFI KT400A mobo right now and in four days of tweaking and prodding and generally messing with it I'm fairly impressed. I used to be an Asus or MSI board kind of person then when I was putting together a system for myself on a budget. I came across this mobo, I paid more for it than I had planned on paying for any mobo but the feature set and over all "cool factor"(round cables, UV parts, etc) when I transfer things into a better case and the expandability were well worth the extra money I spent. Currently running a 2500+ (barton core) 256 meg 333 DDR ram and a Maxtor SATA hd and frankly with a very few tweaks the thing runs like bat outta hell. In talking to the people at some of the near by shops I have found that to a person the ones who have the DFI boards are very impressed (chip set arguments aside). I guess wether it's worth it or not depends on the exact feature set your looking for. Personally the fact that it had raid/sata/5.1 audio all on board was a good selling point as was the cabling and documentation that came with it. When I bought my sata hd I didn't have to bother with cabling as it came with both the sata and a molex extender. As always ymmv.

i read a review on the dfi nf2 ultra 400 somwhere...sorry dont remember where. But from what i got from the review it said it was an all around good board, im guess it does as well as the other U400 boards, i remember it saying they OCing was good but not the best they have seen.
