Default NF7-S v2.0 from hell

What does beeeeeeeep..........................beeeeeeeep.... ....................beeeeeeeep.................... ....on and on....mean? I get no post, no screen whatsoever. Please help. One thing I did notice is that with all of my stuff hooked up that my Nexus is not registering a fan speed. Could this beeeep thing be because the mobo thinks that no cpu fan is connected and if so would that keep it from posting. I am using corsair xms3200cl2 and my epox had issues with this ram does this board have issues with it as well. Please help. Also what is the jumper by the power fan header? Thanks.

remember to check the maual that comes with it. Helps alot. Dunno about that board, on some just 1 beep, repeated means video error. And do you have a fan on the cpu header?

Are you sure that the CPU fan is plugged in? Most newer motherboards (especially AMD) will not POST if there is no fan plugged into the CPU_FAN header...check that first...

Read the manual, even the stuff in chinese, german, french and spanish and nada. Actually against all man's instincts I read first. Yes I have the single pin from my delta on it, the power is on a molex but the monitor is on the board.

try hooking another fan to the header (like a little northy cooler or something) just to see if that is the problem.

Heh - this is helpful:
Quote:
Beep Codes
The only AwardBIOS beep code indicates that a video error has occurred and the BIOS cannot initialize the video screen to display any additional information. This beep code consists of a single long beep followed by two short beeps. Any other beeps are probably a RAM (Random Access Memory) problems.

(Taken from http://www.phoenix.com/en/customer+s...rror+codes.htm ) Helpful, huh?
Jeez...looks like it's time to start swapping parts...as long as you have that fan header plugged in!

I just re-read your original post...you had problems with that RAM in another case? Then I'd DEFINITELY suspect that...Corsair has lifetime warranty and excellent support...they should replace your RAM in a jiffy...

Actually that issue was with the 8RDA+ and the prob is that the board stock setting are too high in the mem timeing dept so I would have to boot up for the first time with some gen ram change the timings then put the corsair in. The ram does work so the problem is something else.

Well, at least it's not the RAM...

In reply to your other question:

J41 and J42 are for Firewire
TV1 is for SVIDEO out to your TV set
