Take a peek at the epox offerings... I was just looking at an epox nforce2 board for $84 ...though I don't think it has lan.

Actually, it does...

that 1700 is a polomino right? that epox board is excellent but there are more budget aimed boards that perform just as well... but not so many features.... although those features would prolly only be used by someone with a larger budget.... id say save up that 20 bucks and get a bit cheaper KT400 board and buy a tbred 1700+ then OC the hell out of it just a suggestion though.......

I would say get a nforce2 board, they're cheep and are alot faster than a kt400, I would only buy a kt400 if I was on a very small budget; anybody would benefit from the added speed of an nforce2 board, especially in gaming.

power user = DuckWarrior, BA, Lokie, etc etc...
uber noob = you

rule of thumb, before lying your ass off about being a 3D modeller and/or programmer, learn to spell "modelling" and "programming"

I trip over computer prarts in my room, but I only have two working rigs, my main one, and some p2 POS. Yet I have three cases staked in here, several motherboards, ram, video cards, keyboards etc. If fu3l will allow me, im a power user too
