Default Help creating ancient flash floppy

The whole setup can be seen here: http://forums.pcapex.com/project_wor...rkstation.html

So the memory im using is listed in the Intel guarenteed list of chips for the OR840 motherboard im using. I do have banks 1 and 3 filled with teh RDRAM, with CRIMMS in 2 and 4. All power has been quadruple-checked. And when i boot up...

i get an error beep code that states "Memory not supported (invalid refresh information in SPD)" (this is beep code 1-3-1)

although this is the last release of the board, and thus should support anything i throw at it on the spec sheet, im going to give it the benefit of the doubt and try flashing the BIOS. or so i thought...

Intel only provides the BIOS in wonderfully easy to use self-creating exe files that automatically configure a floppy for boot, with the BIOS on it in the correct format. Unfortunately, it scans your computer and wont let u make the flash disk unless youre running the OR840 mobo. This is a dilemna... why would i have 2 of these things?

I fail to see the reason that the only way to make a flash disk is to use the same computer. Its called a RECOVERY disk for a reason - you cant get the PC working. So whoever designed this pretty much sucks my balls.

If anyone has any experience with this, or even any ideas, please feel free to throw them by me. Anything helps!

Talking Maybe?

You can get the board runing with LESS memory [like 1 chip?], flash the BIOS, then install the rest?

I dunno
