Default a little ram question ... ECCvsnonECC

I just bought 2 more sticks of Samsung RDRAM. I have all four of my ram slots filled with 256mb pc800. Now the two new sticks i bought are ECC and the other two stick are non-ECC. The question is will the 2 ECC and the other 2 non ECC conflict with each other or anything? They seem to be working well so far so im guessing its probably not much of a difference but any feedback is appreciated.

Depending on your motherboard make and model, it could work. Some mobos will just ignore the error check on the ECC modules. Some will choke. Some will just ignore the modules entirely.

ECC can actually slow your system down.

Well now i have a serious problem. My computer has decided to crap out all of a sudden. It happened while i was playing World of Warcraft. I was PvPing and my computer decides to lock up. I turn it off and turn it back on a few moments later and all i get is a black screen. I tried taking out the new ECC ram and rebooted, but still got black screen. Same thing when i tried leaving in the new ram and taking out the old. I even tried putting in my old video card. Always black screen, nothing on startup. As if The monitor is on but thinks the computer isnt on i dunno. Any ideas? Maybe start up into cmos and check it out? Hopefully its nothing too serious.

I was gonna help you but I knew you would figure it out all by yourself, since you had a whole lot more information about the problem than you seemed willing to share with anyone else haha jk.
