Default Motherboard power

My new Intel motherboard D955XBK Has an extra 4 pin power connection on the board for PCI express cards that are drawing 75Watts. My new OCZ power supply has a seperate power cord for the PCI card. Do I use Both?

I have the Asus 955x based motherboard and I plugged the extra molex into the mobo. My PSU also offers a special plug for video, and that is the one I plugged into the extra power input on the mobo. In my case I thought it would be a wise decision since I am overclocking my 6800 to core speeds well beyond a 6800 Ultra. I have a very stable system. My recommendation to you would be to do the same.

Thumbs up

I have a gigabyte 955X chipset-based board with the extra 4 pin connector and an OCZ PSU as well.

Use Use the 2 x light blue (4 pin) connectors on the mobo as well as the PCI-Express video card connector - you'll be all good to go!

Oh, WELCOME TO PC APEX!!!

My new OCZ has 2 dedicated 4 pin molex connectors I'm not using. Could I use one of those?
