Still Random Restarts!!!

ok, so yall remember that post about me having random restarts, so i took the psu out and put in one that i knew worked, becuase i had used it before with my ga-7vaxp before it died, so i put it in there, and i STILL get random restarts!!!!!
ideas???????

When the Geforce 3 cards came out, and again with the Geforce 4 cards, there was an issue with random rebooting. I experienced it first hand with a Ti-200 card I had.

A complete uninstall of drivers, then trying a different set fixed my problem.

Just for $hits and grins, go all the way back to the 31.80's. I know a lot of folks have good luck with the newer drivers, but I never have.

Could be a bad capictor on your mobo. What error do you get on your restarts because I was getting them too.

it says under the device manager that im using driver version 2.8.9.0.
donno what that means, are the 31.80's gonna be compatable wit my machine, i want everything to run smoothly

The 31.80's are compatible.

Good point Slider, that could be the culprit.

I just did a full install of windows, and now it will randomly restart, usually a day or so apart. When it happens, though, the hard drive light always stays on and it just freezes.

Is this issue just drivers, or something else? It didn't do this before the reinstall, with the same drivers
