Well, i plugged in the power switch connectors to the power jumpers on my mobo, they were in correctly, colorded was on +, white on -, i push the switch, right next to the jumpers,spark, Its an abit fatality, so it has taht little led error display, and my mobo led says 8.3, 8.3 in my manual says "ATX power supply 1 is ready"

Later , i put my psu in another pc, didnt power up, but that pc was a 20 pin psu connector,so that might be why it didnt work, my psu is a 24 pin, so then i connected the green and black wire thingy,pretty sure thats supposed to just start up the psu, none of the fans spun, so i assumed it didnt work, but i still get a post and a red led on my mobo, im confused.

I only get the 8.3 message when i hit the power swtich, if i turn off hte psu, then on, its at 0.1 until i hit the switch.

Well, as far as I can help you now, 20 pin shouldn't be a problem, as long as you plug it in correctly, (empty holes facing down).

ok, but how do you explain the fact that my mobo lights up and gives me led messages, but when i join the power jumpers, i get an error. I dont want to buy a new psu and it turn out to be my mobo

its the psu, its dead
