Exclamation AMD MP mobo help

i need some help finding a good motherboard with multi-processor support. i want the best one you can find, along with the extras (cpu, ram, 8x agp, usb2/firewire, etc) ive seen a few already, but they either limit the type of ram(im looking for ddr) or amount of it(looking for at least 3gb). so any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Well if you realy want the best, expect to pay. Currently, the best mobo is the MSI K8D Master-F, which is nearly inpossible to find and around $400, paired up with a couple of Opteron 244's. There's no agp slot, just integrated Ati Rage XL, you'll have to wait for the Nforce3 Pro for Agp 8x.
This board will support up to 12 GB of registered ECC DDR ram. This is a board for servers so its basically a stripp-o, no features other than dual lan and video, it also comes with usb but it would be impossible to find a board out there that doesnt.

Evil: i think he was talking about the Athlon MP chips not Opteron chips. The Nforce 3 is only a one chip board anyway.

David: With the specs you want are you sure that board exists? The AMD chipset that is in most of the MP boards does not support USB 2.0 or firewire and definitly not AGP 8x. If you have found a board like this put a link up. Id be intersted in seeing it.

let me clarify myself a little more:

what i am primarily looking for is the best AMD mp mobo i can get that can support a lot of ram, if it supports usb 2/firewire and other things like that, then great.

i can always buy cards, so i dont need the firewire/usb2. basically i want a lot of performance and processing speed. if you think i can get better performance with a different processor or motherboard, then link it up.

again, any help is appreciated. thanks
