| Hey guys I got a really simple question here which is.. Does this DFI Expert motherboard provide with dual x16 PCI-E Slots when running games in SLI? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136166 I know the AsusA8N32-Deluxe offeres true dual x16 slots for games in SLI and I was wondering if that DFI board did the same. Thanks for the help. | ||

| From the DFI website SLI mode - Use 2 SLI-ready PCI Express x16 graphics cards (use identical cards) on the PCI Express x16 slots. - Each x16 slot operates at x8 bandwidth. When the graphics cards are connected via the SLI bridge, the total bandwidth of the two graphics cards is x16. Single VGA mode - 1 PCI Express graphics card on the PCIE1 slot operates at x16 bandwidth. - The other PCI Express x16 slot (PCIE4) operates at x2 bandwidth. | ||

| I know that the total bandwith equals to x16. But newer motherboards like the AsusA8N32-Delux runs the SLI cards at a total bandwith of x32. The Asus board provides "true dual x16 slots " and does not divide the cards up at x8 when running SLI. My question was if the DFI board above did the same thing as the Asus 32-Deluxe. I want to know if the DFI board runs two cards in SLI at x16 each rather than x8 each. Last edited by UndisputedChamp; 15-February-06 at 11:30 PM.. | ||
