Sempron 64

Hi everyone, just a quick question about Semprons today

I am going to be purchasing a new motherboard and processor soon and this motherboard i have decided on http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...Tab=0&NoMapp=0

While i was looking for a processor for it i stumbled upon two options

Sempron 2800+ http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...413131&CatId=0
Sempron 64 2800+ http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...530733&CatId=0

Ok heres the question:

What would be the difference between the Sempron 2800+ and the Sempron 64 2800+ and will either work with the mobo i have chosen.

I am asking because i have no experence currently with Amd 64 bit processors so i dont know what they are compatible with.

Yes they will both work. The 64bit version is just that, 64 bits. But bewarey as Some Sempys are A64 even though they say they arent.

The A64 also has Hypertransport.

To my knowledge only Sempron64's of 3000+ and higher support "cool & quiet"....
Don't know about you but I really like this feature when doing office work!

Just built my first system - a Sempron 64 3300+ with an Asus K8N4-E Deluxe mobo. Got it to 2.57ghz from stock 2ghz before I start getting errors in Super Pi, but it's still damn fast. I've heard that its possible to get the 3300+ to 2.75ghz; like all Semprons it overclocks like fudge.

It was only Ã‚Â£66 ($115) on eBay, which was a bargain (although it was OEM).
