Default PSU/Motherboard Problem...plz Help...

Alright this is only semi-motherboard related...but this forum seems to get more traffic so don't shoot me...

I am using an Antec TruePower 2.0 480 watt power supply....and I'm getting some pretty insane readings on the -5 volt rail....in my motherboard BIOS i get a -62 volt reading on the -5 volt rail <_<

Now, antec's website says that the TruePower 2.0 supplies don't even HAVE a -5 volt rail...so I'm really confused about this...does anyone have any experience wit this kind of thing? Suggestions, anything??

I'm pretty sure my Biostar mobo is the main source of my computer problems and I have a new MSI on the way...but I really don't want to fry that with a screwed up power supply putting out ****ing -60 volts on the -5 volt rail...

Well i read around some and found that in the HW monitor people with the atx12v 2.0 power supplies get the same 3.5 reading that I do, but I'm still concerned about that -60 volt reading in the BIOS...also my cpu temp is higher than normal, although not anything to really be concerned about...It's sitting steadily at 45 degrees c...normaly at idle it's in the 36-38 range...I'm wondering if it has to do with the Antec's fan only controlled fanspeed ****...It seems to be running at the manufacturer's specified 900rpm at idle...which seems pretty damn low to me...

Suggestions?

The motherboard sensor is confused because of the lack of -5V. If you have no problems (locking up, crashing etc) then don't worry.

Yeah, the board was bad. I replaced it and all is well now. The PS is bad as well. Hooray for Ultra X-Connect, probably took my board down with it when it went.

New Antec TruePower 480 and a MSI K7N2 Delta 2...i'll RMA the other sh*t and keep it for spare parts i suppose.

Thanks for the response anyway though.
