A while ago, my friend send me some money to buy my old computer... last time I checked (a month or 2 before he sent the cash) it was fine. I then checked it, to ready it for sending to him, and to my suprise, it wont boot up. It turns on, but I get no signal on screen.

I decided to check everything, I checked the RAM - working... I checked the graphics card - working... I checked the hard drive, and just to be sure, the CD drives, even the ****ing floppy drive ...all working.

I assumed it must of been the motherboard, so I've gone and spent £50 on a new mobo, got it today, installed it all... and guess what... STILL NOT ****ING WORKING.

What the hell is wrong with my computer? In the old mobo it made a bleeping sound when I tried to turn it on, but now it makes no bleeping noise so its just randomly not working.

Only thing I can think of is the CPU, but **** knows why, as its only a year or 2 old, and it was fine a couple months ago, then just randomly doesnt work :/

Asus P4GE-MX mobo
P4 2.8 CPU
ATI Radeon 9000 128mb
Samsung 512mb DDR PC2100 RAM
Maxtor 120GB HD

Piece of crap, I know, but I gotta get this working, as I already spent the money the dude sent me, on new parts for one of my other computers. PLEASE HELP?!

i would reseat the video card

and i would check the ps.... if you dont have one yo test with... take a paper clip and jumper the black and green cables.. and see it the ps turns on...
