| I have an ASUS A7N8X deluxe and am haveing a small problem that I wonder if anyone else has that has this board. From time to time before the bios screen comes up the computer will say system failed memory test. The computer then boots and everything is fine. It usally does it after a reboot. I have generic memory that works great. I have had the bus up to 202 (404). I get nice scores on the benchmarks. I think it's a glitch in the bios. How can the memory fail before the test is ran?¿ | ||

| I have that same board, but like fubar, im running corsair xms memory now.......when i first had the board i had over a gig of samsung original memory in it, which is very borderline generic, and never had a problem iwth it at all....i bet one of the your mem sticks are bad yopu can always get the enwest chipset and bios revisions....there was a new set of chipset drivers released like mid january | ||

| I am running 1002 BIOS. The computer runs great. The memory chips have samsung chips on them and are made by apacer. PC2700. AMD 2600+. I pull a 15500 on 3d mark with the radeon 9700. PC mark pulls 5000-5200 on the memory score. I think its a BIOS glitch and was just wondering if anyone else has it. My friend upgraded to the 1002 BIOS and now he get it to. | ||

| ok, did you upgrade to the 1002 BETA bios, or did you upgrade to the FINAL 1002 bios that was just released TODAY? and i mean it was only realeased today at about 5pm PST on the asus site....in fact the dam link to the final bos revision for 1002 has been down all day unless its just been me.....if you flashed with a beta version that very well could be your problem.....you can try to flash again with the final version or go back to 1001 E or G | ||

| No its not a bad boot. The computer voice says system failed memory test. And it says that before you can see anything on the screen. The system boots fine other than that. I still get the system completed power on self test computer now booting from operating system. I use all 3 banks of memory. | ||

| ok well using all three banks basically shoots where i was going with that out of the water..........hmmm, have you checked to make sure your ram is all the way in the slot? a good way to troubleshoot this would be maybe just 1 memory module is bad..........take out 1 dimm and then boot, if you still get the same error, put that one back in and pull out another one.....rinse and repeat for each dimm.....however tho make sure you keep in mind that since the board uses twinbank technology that when you are only using two dimms you need to use them in slot 1&2 or 2&3.....at least this way we can rule out it being an actual bad dimm.....cause one bad dimm will give the error and it wont pass the test | ||
