Barton pricing

Well the barton core is getting ready go on sale it looks like they will start out at 3000+ for $695 and the 2800+ for $449. Know thats high but we all know they will come down. My question is will anyone here buy them or is everyone saving there money for hammer? I probably will wait for hammer although I will be getting a 2100+ T-bred soon to hold me over. So what do you think?

You know what the problem is I want a 2100 and nforce2 board but with the hammer comming out I will be buying a new board then also. This is getting worse than a drug habbit. Has anyone seen anything on the hammer boards?

Mirage, there has been several Mobo makers already signed on to produce Hammer boards.....

Thanks scape, I forgot they showed off some boards and working hammers at one of the conventions. I like the sound of that asus nvidia crush k8 dont you?

I'm in the exact same boat as BA. When i DO go hammer, my Wife will be getting this 2200 Rig.

Will nvidia have a chipset that will support hammer?

The bartons are now showing up on pricewatch. You can get a 2500 for $201. They say they should oc very well and should start shipping in mid Feb. I guess we will have to wait for the reviews.

BZA, Nvidia has announced a while back that they will have a chipset ready for the Hammer when it is released.

I just looked at the Inquirer and no hammers till September.

I was expecting it but I still had hope.

I guess I will get a Barton I plan on building a new system in March.
