Is the PIII 1.4Ghz processor compatible with the Intel D815EEA motherboard?

No i don't think so, perhaps you could check for bios updates but im not sure if you will be able to.
it says you can support up to 1Ghz

Well bigakita, the number 23 is my lucky number and it's also the number I put at the end of all of my screennames.

And arj is right i checked on the BIOS's and the latest version is P11 which will only support up to a 1 Ghz proc.
