Default Cannot reboot

I can start my machine up fine, if its been sitting overnight or so, but after its been running awhile, and I reboot, it will not post. This problem first happened right after I flashed my bios and restarted, and it wouldnt post. naturally I thought i got a bad flash, so I got a new bios, and it still didnt work. So I RMAed the board, got my new one and i booted fine.... but when i restarted, same problem. and i cannot just shut it off and back on.... it has to sit for several hours before i can boot it again. So i then tried a different power supply. It worked and rebooted fine, but i wasnt able to let it 'warm up' because the psu that i put in it was old and blew after a few minutes.... so then i thought i just needed a new psu. so i borrowed my friends 660w enermax and again it booted fine and ran all day... then when i rebooted, no post. here is my setup

Asus A8V deluxe
a64 3500
1 Gb kingston hyper x
gforce 6800 gt

also when i try to boot and it doesnt post i get a voice message "system failed cpu test" but when i do get it booted, i am running F@H and playin games just fine.... any ideas on what could be the prob?

Some CPU faults woun't come out even under stress. Your CPU is likely failing. Did you ever up the voltage?

Most likely causes:

1.) CPUFAN Header not occupied, connect any fan to it.
2.) Board is grounded out.
3.) CPU Voltage is too low or board has poor power regulation. Increase voltage 0.1v.

And, if all of the above prove to be incorrect, I'm thinking that the...
4.) CPU is faulty. Every chip company has an errata margin, yours might be in it.
