Default Heat Issues with Gigabyte GA-I8PE1000 Pro-G

First of all, hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone else is havin probs with the Gigabyte GA-I8PE100 Pro-G mobo? I get really good stable OC's wit that board, but I havent the foggiest Idea what my correct temps are. The Bios shows my CPU, with an FSB of 240-250(allways tweakin), at 33C. Ive Got aftermarket cooling, but on my old MSI board, my temps were in the 42-45C range at that FSB. I tried checking the temps in SiSoft Sandra 2005 and it said it was running at 25C!!! That is definitely wrong. Not to mention, the bios on the gigabyte board doesnt even have a system temperature reading at all. Its a good fast board but wtf? I really dont want to buy a temperature sensor for 40-60 bucks. Any suggestions would be much apprieciated. Thanx

Oh sorry, its a Northwood 2.6c. You aint lying when you said you couldnt find that board either. All I can do is prove it exists: www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-128-231R&type=Refurbished Aparently, they stoped making this board. Guess Ill have to get a fan controller with a temp readout. Any suggestions on which one I should get?

I had that same chip, before I melted it that is. What do you have for cooling on it? Also have you tried a bios flash?

Im using a all copper heatsink from a TT spark 7 with a 70 to 80mm adapter. Ive coupled it with an 80mm Delta triple-bladed multi-speed fan. Its a great combo. Its not too loud and it provides ample cooling. On my old MSI 865PE Neo2 Ls, I was running my northy 2.6 @ 3.26 GHz idling away at 43C and in games 50C or so. I love that chip. My mosfets melted on that mobo(learned that lesson the hard way) and the chip is still churning away, lol. As for a different Bios, there are 4. Ive tried each of them since posting here and none of them have correct temps.
