System fail due to cpu overclocking

hey, question, i got a k8v se deluxe motherboard, and i have the amd 64 3000+, when i go to start it up i get no video, but over the speakers it says that the system has failed due to cpu overclocking, but i havent even been able to get a video yet, so i was wondering if anybody knew anything about that. Thanks

My A7N8X-E Deluxe does the same thing, if you crank it, sometimes it does it and it fires up just fine. But I get video, you don't. Clear the CMOS with the PSU unplugged and try firing it up then, if your video was bad it should tell you because mine does.

don't overclock it. Make sure the video card is good by checking it in another machine. Make sure the monitor is plugged into a wall socket that works. Make sure the monitor is turned on. Make sure the monitor is connected to the right port on your video card. Send me a muffin.

i sometimes get that on my p4p800 delux and i dont even overclock it(many times

but try this........take off ur cmos battery and leave it out and then proceed to take out ur cmos jumper...leave them both out for 10 min.. put back the jumper then the battery and try that.....
