Blank K6-2

I found a K6 chip today that has a blank heatspreader on it. There is absolutely no way of finding out how fast this chip is. I know that on the ceramic die on the upper right corner of the die yyou can see the clock speed written on the die, but on this one it is not. There is no AMD logo. A total n00b wouldn't know what to do with it.

My question is does anyone else know what kind of K6 series chip this is?

Why can't u pop it in a board, you have plenty?

Set it for 300MHZ and see what CPUZ has to say about it.

sounds like someone went to the extreme of lapping the heat spreader....odd if you ask me but doesnt help anyone else who wants it. Yeh get it in a good OCin SS7 board, and clock it to 300 as said before, CPUz it then go at it again...what you'll have to watch out for is if the K62 is infact a K6 - like you say theres no way of telling, until u get some software through the beast.

Or maybe try running BelArc Advisor for the info, if not CpuZ.

Well I popped it into a K6-2 board I have that auto detects the CPU speed and VCore, and it sees it as a 2.6 volt K6-2 450.....

hmmmmm...

EDIT: 2.3 volts forgot I had it overclocked previously
