Default motherboard temp!!!

My motherboard temp doesn't seem to be normal. It started screwing up after I messed with some things in my case. Check my temps out:

CPU:29 C
MOBO:42C

It use to always be under my cpu, as of now it's way above it. It's an Asus K8N-E Deluxe.

I was cleaning up some of the wires in my case and I don't think I could have unplugged something that would make my motherboard temperature skyrocket. Is there somthing I should check? Is my motherboard messed up?

What are you using to measure temps? Check in your BIOS.

Asus PC probe, speedfan, Nvidia System Ulitiy all say the same thing.

My bios was a little better but it was still very odd and alarming.-- My moherboard was still about 6-7 degrees higher than my cpu, with my window open and a desk fan blowing right into my case.

It seems to be fixed now, I spent some time rewiring it and now my temps are:

CPU:28C
MOBO:28C

You should go to library or check on line for a book on physics. Then you will find out something isn't right.

No, that really is right. Strangly enough, it's possible with 5 77cfm fans running full blast.
