Default Wow I have a Intel NForce 4 Board!!!!

....Would be somthing a n00b would say I hear you, unfortunatley looks like Intel will once again try and get one over on AMD again, as nVidia have signed a deal for chipset supporting Intels CPUs.

"I see clouds apearing on the AMD horizon", but this should last too long considering the fruits of next year....

What are the fruits of next near? Also, does this mean that they will no longer support AMD boards?

lol, no theyll support both, just means they'll design some chipsets for Intel aswell. The fruits of next year for AMD include:

- SSE 3
- All models on 90nm
- Dual core CPUs
- FX57 and several new CPUs to be released.

will be interesting to see how the systems perform when they are put together. Intel is a lesser for gaming than AMD is (not totaly but from the benches ive seen the 64 bits do better in gaming than the E.E.'s do but maybe im just wrong) and nvidia is about gaming so it wil be cool to see how they making for a machine when they get done. could be the perfect comob, who knows?

I think intel could use the boost, the nvidia chipsets for the amd chips are great, and in my opinion the 925x is kinda rediculous. I'd have to see it, but i havnt been that huge a fan of intels chipsets since the 875, which i loved.

would it be worth it to buy a FX55 system or would it be better to wait until this stuff comes out?

While I am angry to see Nvidia supporting Intel (I loath them), I doubt that even with Nvidia designing their chipsets that Intel can make a CPU that will top any of the ones coming out of AMD. I hope Nvidia soon reconsiders.

I don't understand why so many people "hate" intel. Yes, I have an AMD and I prefer them over Intel CPU's, but I don't by any means hate intel. I mean, seriously, PC's would not be anywhere NEAR where they are today w/o Intel. Its like the people who loath Bill Gates and Windows. Guess what, without them, no PC's! Or atleast they would not have been made until much later and we would be far behind where we are today technologically wise. Why do you care if Nvidia supports Intel? As long as they continue to support AMD, then I am actually happy about it! Yes, Happy! Becase this means that they will probably make more money because they have a larger customer base, meaning they will grow and make better stuff quicker!
