seems alot of people have been having trouble with asus boards lately.i just got a new board cuss my asus a7v crapped the bed on me.anyway my question i just bought a amd 1600xp and a msi mobo.both for 140 is this a good deal or did i just get robbed.also where can i find an app to tell me what my cpu temp is.kinda like a continues readout that sits on the task bar.

You can also use CoolMon to have a diff display of it and show even more info.

First of all what model of MSI mobo is it , there are all kinds. And Tiz is right MBM5 willl run ya just fine.

There is a Utility for Msi boards called Pc Alert 3 or 4 (it should of come with the disc you got with your board)
and that monitors temps and fan speds and voltages, not a bad program...
I prefer 3 because that doesn't mix up my system and cpu fan readings..
im running an ms 6380
