first, bend over, second, remove your hard drive from its current position and firmly insert it into your butt... get bent, dunno what you did to get the rep you got, but its a good enough reason to treat you like crap, enjoy... EDIT: nevermind, i just checked your post history and it looks to me like you havent done much anything wrong lately, so..... if the AN7 is anything like the NF7-S, then...from what im told, you have to go into the SATA setup and enable it or something, think you press CTRL+S during the diagnostic SATA screen (just after the main BIOS screen)... if not, im sure the option is in the onboard devices in the BIOS... | First, you have to enable the drive in the bios and set it up as the the first boot drive. Then you slap in you windows XP CD and when it says press F6, do it. The board came with SATA drivers on floppy and the setup will ask for it. After you have loaded the drivers, you continue on like any other drive. I have the AN7 and like it, once you've done what I said it should work with no problem. EDIT: Fuel, sometimes you shoot too quick. Matt has been around for a while and is a good kid. Watch that trigger finger in the future or we may have to draw against each other.

Watch that trigger finger in the future or we may have to draw against each other.[/QUOTE] no argument there, just one Q, where did his "almost bansville" rep come from......cause i havent found anything that indicates he did anything wrong... im not out to be an ass, but i "use" the rep system, red usually means kiss my ass, am i wrong? EDIT 2: im also not out to hijack this thread either, and i think matt just answered my first question...so nevermind...thread on....

moderator status aside, i always respected most (if not all) of your opinions, and you know full well there arent alot of people here who can convince me that im wrong about something...you happen to be on the short list... about that AN7 issue, im pretty sure BA nailed it earlier, i personally cant speculate too much because the only drives i am using are two PATA with the Serilell2 adapters, and nothing on my primary IDE...

| 1.) Go into BIOS and into the menu Advanced BIOS Features and set second boot device to SATA. 1.) (First boot device should be CDROM for now.) 2.) Within BIOS go into Intergrated Peripherals then the Onboard PCI Device 2.) submenu and be sure that both Serial ATA Controller & ROM are enabled. 3.) Load the XP CD and Toggle F6 as soon as the blue Windows Setup screen comes up. 4.) Load the latest drivers (Avail. HERE -D/L to A:\- ) from a floppy and proceed with windows setup. | ||
