Default Asus and RAID Troubles!!

I've got the Asus A7V8X and an Adaptec 1200A RAID card, and I've installed windows fine (installing the RAID during Windows XP Home setup) and whenever I start my computer the board recognizes my CD-ROM as primary slave but not my RAID drives. The ONLY way I can get into win after I install it is to put the win CD in and boot from it then I get into windows just fine! I've installed all drivers and updates, but haven't attempted to flash the BIOS for an update yet. Anyone have suggestions or had this problem too? Anything will help!!

Ok, CD is plugged into MB, and there is now RAID bootable in my BIOS. There's a SCSI and that doesn't work, I've tried everyone of them and none of them work. Any other suggestions?

according to adaptec, quote:
the adaptec 1200a card has an onboard bios array configuration utility which allaows you to create a bootable array on your hard disks.
before you can use your bios array configuration utility, make sure you have done the following:
1 installed the 1200a into a valid pci slot.
2 attatch the hard drives.
3 reinstalled the computer cover and connected all the power cables.
4 powered on the system.

to start the bios array configuration utility, press CRTL + H
while starting up the system to enter the bios configuration main menu.
im thinkin you need to create a bootable raid array.
