| Well I came home from school like I normally do and I went down stairs to my room to find that the fan on my heatsink for my CPU was not revolving. I had left my computer on for F@H. The first reaction was pressing the button on the PSU onto off. Then I let the mofo cool down for like an hour and then turned the machine back on. After turning the machine on it said I had an AMD *g0sn processor so I though oh **** now it has heat damage. So I said fine and went into BIOS and looked at the PC Health Thing and temps were fine, but the fan was still not running. So I turned the computer off, opened the side window up and sure enough I found the black wire for the fan had poped out of the connector that you attach to the MOBO. I was like ************************************************** ************************** ME! I put it back in the connector and made sure it wouldn't fall out, I turned the PC on again and it posted as an AMD DURON 1.823 GHZ processor and I was like okay, wtf atleast it still works and now I'm here in windows running perfectly fine. MBM said it got up to 98 celcius. HOLY ****ING ****! | ||

| I had a volcano 6 do that to me about a year ago, running a duron 800 no o/cing. I noticed that my room was quiter than normal but didnt really think anything of it. i walked outside to talk to a neighbor and when i came back in my monitor wasnt on. Well it was it was just in power saver mode, but I have all my power setting set to normal so it should have been on. Well to make a long story short. I figured that the fan had not been running for about oh say 2 hours or so and after the last 30 minutes it shut off. Well I thought I was fuked. Just in case I got the vol 6 working again and cranked my system back up and it ran fine. The only thing that happened was the proc got 3 small black spots on the core. Its still running today but its no longer mine. I sold it to my roommate. lol. | ||
