says it's not for this type of hardware when i try using the floopy (during the scsi driver page during blue sceen install)...it still cant see it after i loaded the os.

My bad, I just noticed you are using Win XP 64 bit. Only thing I see so far is for VIA chipsets but I will keep looking.

Edit: Try HERE for the latest beta drivers but use at your own risk as they are beta drivers.

i'll check it out but it mentioned...
IDE (RAID) driver 4.33

and im currently running with an IDE drive. i have a brand new serial drive (120gb) just sittin here hummin away. i have an explanation mark in device manager for Other devices->RAID controller

I am not certain but I believe you need to install the SATA drivers when you do a fresh install of Windows. You may want to wait for a second opinion on that though.
