| Ive been runnin this compy for a year straight (almost 24/7) with no case sides. Basicly open mobo, im not sure if your talkin about bare meaning no grounding cept PSU or bare by no protection from dust. But Ive had no probs with this one open to dust ect. for a year. | ||

Hey - don't knock the cardboard...the first computer t EVER built was in a cardboard box! 486DX4-100, 64MB RAM *SIMMS* 2GB hard drive...custom-cut cardboard case lined with static bags, and painted gold on the outside... Big pimpin' style circa 1993 ![]() To answer your question, it doesn't really matter...it's an old mobo anyway.
