Default I'm so f*cking sick of Intel!!!

OMFG not only is my RAM still not here but I have already killed the only two P4 heatsinks I had trying to get this f*cking piece of sh*t OEM Intel P4 cooler on my board, Asus P4T and I got an adapter off eBay and the clips suck balls, had to mod them to get the heatsink to actually touch the heatspreader, now that it does the levers dont push the heatsink down so I had to stick something under it and it worked for a bit but it was idling at like 53*C so I put in the otehr one with more fins and broke the lever on it.

Tried gfetting the other one on and it broke too. CHEAP SH1T OEM INTEL COOLERS!!!

I will NEVER go P4 EVER lame pieces of dogsh*t. Anyone want a P4 1.4 rig without heatsink? Tested good, but the chip has seen 100*C. Still good though.

Is it maybe just that it's an OEM heatsink? I've had plenty of problems with certain OEM heatsinks that came with some AMD processors. And when I installed the Intel Brand of P4 Heasink I didn't really have any problems. In fact I found it even easier than any of the brand-name AMD Heatsinks.

Sorry you're having a bad experience.

All heatsinks are a pain. Some are easier than others. As for buying one and getting an adapter from ebay, I won't answer because of the flaming body involved. Get a real heatsink from Swiftech or Thermalright, you won't be disappointed. Your Intel may not beat the AMD64 but it will beat the AMD XP. And if you get the right stuff it will keep up with the AMD64.
