Question HELP!! NF7-S Not Posting

I know there have are loads of threads about NF7's not posting, so Im sorry to create another one, but I have read the others and Im still stuck.

I just got an NF7-S V2, to replace an old soltek KT400 board I had. However when I stuck it all together and turned it on, there was power, but nothing loaded up. No bios, no nothing. So I checked the usual things like connections, reseated my video card, memory, cpu, the header connections for power switch and the likes, made sure a fan was connected to the fan connector, but still it wont post. Not had any beeps either.

Next I pulled it all apart and put my old mobo back in and it all works perfectly fine.

My system is as follows:

AMD XP2500
NF7-S V2
Radeon 9800pro
2x256mb corsair DDR3200
seagate hard drive
Vantec 450watt PSU
Dangerden Maze 3 cpu block

Any ideas? or have I just been unlucky and got a duff board?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Sounds like you know what you're doing as far as all the connections go, so I'm guessing bad board.

Try swapping out your CMOS battery before you rma it. That could be a possibility for no post, no BIOS, and no beeps.

If I take the battery out of my old board will it wipe the CMOS on it? Just that I will need it if the new board is faulty.

Those batteries are common watch batteries that can be bought at walmart. Just bring the battery with you when go to get a new one just to reference what size and make you need.

Common NF7 problem is a bad BIOS, When i had mine i was flashing the BIOS to the tne of once a week, at least, then i found the stable combination left it alone. If you have a friend or know a shop around there with a NF7 see if you can get it hot flashed, google for the answer (nothing like finding out the answer for yourself...lol). But if you decide to start overclocking alot you might wanna invest in a BIOS savior. there the greatest thing next to sliced bread!

Thanks for your ideas guys, but it was still no go, so I have returned the board. Just got to wait for a new one now. Hope it works.
