Enable USB Legacy Emulation and set the Keyboard to BIOS control in Integrated Peripherals.

i have the "Pheonix AwardBIOS CMOS..."

my keyboard cant do any of the F_ keys anywhere even in BIOS!

is this because it is USB?

i have a PS/2 keyboard should i try it out?

do i need to turn anything on or off/switch in bios to get her to work?

this is getting very frusteration i wish she would work for me!

I woulod try the PS/2 keyboard first just to verify that the other keyboard is the problem.
Even if it is the problem, once you get XP installed with the PS/2 keyboard you should be able to switch over to the USB one.

I had the same problems with a USB mouse with my NF7-S. it would not boot and the when it did, the keyborad and mouse would not work and had to restart every time. Not fun trying to run windows update. There is a bios update at the Abit site. I'll post alink in a bit.

*edit* http://www.abit-usa.com/downloads/bios/amd.php
**edit** oh yea, don't use the windows one click update ultility, flash from a floppy. I learned that from a bad flash and the computer would not reboot.

Ditto. The BIOS is easy Dav, eventually you'll get used to the better layout.
