...thoses Barton 2500+

I heard so much but it so i got mine yesterday

Man with a nforce2 board theses cpu goes to 3200+ easy , no vcore increase (even got mine down to 1.6v) pretty stable , 3DMark01 , Prime95 2hrs.

All this on a gigabyte 7N400 L-1 with 333 mhz memory & a cheap 300w PS

Not finish doing some tests , i know i can push it more.

P.S. Still single channel but soon i'll go dual channels 433 mhz or more if i can afford it?

One question ;
Is it ok to run the vcore at 1.6 & not 1.650 (original) if everything is stable?? (create less eat).

I like so much my Barton 2500+ that i just can't stay still. lolllllll

Zennz and I have been able to run desktop bartons as low as 1.4v perfectly stable.
With a light O/C like yours I'd set it around 1.5-1.6, low as possible while maintaining stability.

you got nothing to loose by going lower. why not just see how fast she'll go with 1.65 though?

dude i know, i got my 2500+ and an nf7-s the other day...oh man... only thing holding me back is my crappy pc2100 ram...so i run a higher mult, 150 x 15 to get 2255, but once i get some better ram, il be rockin!

I'll try to go higher when i'll get better memory's & better colling cuz at 215 with the vcore at 1.7 i got around 55-56c idle. (original HSF with the copper square base)


For now i'm gona run this at 200 (3200+) with the vcore at 1.6v temp. 48-50c idle everything seam to be stable this way.

I would run the settings you are talking about except change the memory speed to 210. It will still be stable, but it is just so much cooler to run 420 instead of 400. No other reason.

Just lucky i guess cuz if you would have the new ones it would be lock like mine is.

No "matter" your ram (2100) you could get 166 with it no prbls , even a bit more.
You should put back 11x166 & loose your memory timing if you have too or run your memory's at 83% in the Bios etc...

I think you'll get better scores (performance) with a higher FSB then a higher cpu clock (Clock Ratio)?

Anyhow when ever you can $$ (like me?) change your memory's.

You mean living my cpu at 200 with the vcore at 1.6v & put only my memory at 210??

I can't put my memory at 210 & my cpu at 200
the only way i can doo 210 for he memory is if i put my cpu to 175 cuz after the option 100% the next one is 120% so if my cpu is at 200 & raise my memory to 120% i got 470 & this is to high , i just wish i could go by 1% increase for the memory too


what do you think about my memory? not bad memory for a 333 mhz??

i got a 2500+M, they come unlocked. its sweet. anyhow, im going to get some new ram with my open house money, not sure what kind yet, il surf the forums a bit first, but im geting a gig, that i know
