![]() | Yeah, well i just bought a new case + power supply, not my only problem, is i dont know how to move my motherboard without ruining anything. Last night i took my whole computer apart, but i was stuck on getting the damn motherboard out. I took out one screw, but i couldn't find the rest. My old comp is a Dell Dimension 8100. That im trying the remove the motherboard from. Could anyone explain to me how, or better yet get me a good site on how to do it, with a diagram. |

My best guess would be to contact Dell and explain to them that the case is "damaged" and that you need to remove it to put into another case. If you make it sound like you think their case is crap, they may not help you with it. They should be able to provide guidance. If not right away, then they will forward it to one of their "specialist" (i.e., the only guy in the shop who knows what the term "mobo" means) and they will get back to you. Hope this helps. Rob

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Check the attached technical drawing. The circles represent possible screw locations for a standard ATX motherboard. There may or may not me a screw in each location depending on how the motherboard was made. Make sure you check your BERG connections (in blue on the technical drawing) before you remove the wires attached to the pins. Make note of which pins are for power, reset, powerLED and HDDLED.
