Looking at a New Build...

Hello everyone,

I am looking to build a new game rig and am having a bit of a time picking the video cards and PSU. Here is what i am looking at:

ASUS M3N-HT Deluxe/Mempipe Motherboard

AMD Phenom 9850 X4 Black Edition Quad Core Socket AM2 2.5GHZ 4MB Cache 125W Processor

CORSAIR DOMINATOR with DHX Technology TWIN2X4096-8500C5DF 4GB PC2-8500 (DDR2-1066) DDR2 Memory

Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3750640AS 750GB Serial ATA (3.0Gb/s) 7200RPM Hard Drive w/16MB Buffer

Do you want it for video decoding duties? Go 3870. For gaming, go 9600.

Why not a smaller, but better make PSU? You don't need 850W for a single-video-card, single-hard-disc box. A good 500 should do you fine.

I've been very impressed with my Samsung 203-series DVD burners (got a 203N, then replaced my old IDE burner from 2005 with a 203B since it was $8 cheaper)
