Default Asus A7N8X Deluxe Onboard Sound storm problems.

I have had this board for quite a long time now, and I have had nothing but problems with the onboard sound. Probly from my lack skills with sound propeties\settings. I have two sets of speakers, Boston Digital BA735 and a set of Altec Lansing w\ sub. For the longest time I have been using the Bostons, the only problem is they are digital speakers with a normal green speaker jack. So they don't work in the green input of my mobo, I have to put it 1\4th the way into the S\PDIF jack.

OK heres the other problem, my Altec Lansings (non-digital) do not work at all with my mobo. But when I was messing with the settings I magicly got them to work (i have no idea what I did).

I know that there isnt anything wrong with the mobo because at a recent LAN partie I hooked up some generic speakers and they worked. I also know that the Bostons work because they are new and work in the S\PDIF jack. And I know that the Altecs work because we tryed the speakers out on a friends pc.

So heres my conclusion. Either im a dimwit and I dont know how to worl the settings of the onboard sound. Or I have another sound codec taking over my onbaord sound. (Which is a good possiablity now that I think about it) Has anyone ever had this kind of setup and ran into these kinds of problems????

Check your jumper settings and make sure your onboard sound is enabled..
