| Apex Techie Wannabe | Hey. I am building a computer for the first time (P4) and have run into a couple of areas where I need some help. My case is an Turbo Gamer (the Antec built ones that are used with the Alienware computers). 1) There are 4 cables from my case that I'm not sure where to connect on my motherboard. Here they are: 1 GROUND 1 +D 1 -D 2 GROUND 2 +D 2 -D 1 +5V 2 +5V I'm not sure what these are. 2) I am having a heck of a time connecting the 6 Pin Auxilary Power Connector to my mobo. My mobo manual (Gigabyte 8IHXP) says to line up the 'tooth' of auxilary connector at a 45 degree angle and then insert the cable downward. I'm not sure what to align the tooth up with??? Thanks a lot for your help. | |

| http://www.hardwarebook.net/connecto...ml#PowerSupply Info on Power Supply pin-outs, but not all boards use all PSU connectors, if it fits, use it, if not lose it (or wrap it up and stuff it above your PSU, but I can't stand having unused cables). I normally just desolder them from the PSU and pitch them into my pile of unused PC junk. | ||
