Exclamation Help!!! Computer Shuts Off While Gamning

I have been threw Two mother boards trying to correct this problem, i am running windows Xp Corp and Linux. the first mother board i marked it down to being a BASIC POS, and the second mother board is a MSI k7n2 Delta, and it overclocks well and is a very decent board for the money. I am running a Barton 2500XP, Dual Channel ddr 256mb sticks of Geil pc3200, 120 gig maxtor hard drive, and a fx71 chaintech fx5600 ultra w/vivo video card. I have upgraded to a 480watt ThermalTake PSU, I have a pretty beef system, and nothing is over clocked while i am running it, I can do simple tasks just fine, but when i start gamning the computer just SHUTS off. I try to restart but i get no video, if i push the restart button i get video but only a blinking cursor, then i have to power down for two minutes, restart and boom, works fine again.

I have Checked the Temps in the Bios andy they read 44 degrees' Celsius after i am gamning, i have also hooked up dual monitors and ran a Temp Monitor on the other monitor while gamning, and right before it shuts off, its also 44 degrees Celsius, I havn't a clue what to do, They system hasn't reached over 50 degrees Celsius, so i have ruled out the temperature

Have you run memtest86 on it - dont have a linky for you but it would help rule out memory.

What are your voltage rails reading @?

Make a bootable CD of Memtest86 by downloading This Zip. Burn it using Blindwrite.

Boot to it and let it run for a hour or more.

Yes i have ran mem tests for more then an hour, and everything checks out fine, my memory is alway listen on GEILS website with being Compatible with the mother board, i have even tried turning my FSB down to 100 mhz, and its still acting up at start up, and i have set my defaults, and its still ****ing up, MSI isn't very helpful, i figured fellow techi's would help me fast then they can

12v Rail is on the low side, but still safe, I suppose. Try another PSU for good measure.

this is the 3rd power supply i have tried, and this one pulled the best readings except on that 12volt reading, the two others where a 500W and a 420W, and they both pulled a lower VCore and 12 volt reading, plus i just bought this power supply and its name brand, so it should be a good one

You should run memtest for way more than 1 hour.

I have had it run 8 hrs with no problems. Stop the program and restart and have errors in minutes. One hour is an inadequate sample.

Have you tried the graphics board in another computer?

Could an HDD be overheating? Clutching at straws I know, but it looks like all the normal bases have been covered.

Download SpeedFan and check your HDD temps and SMART data, see if anything looks awry, although I'm not hopeful, it should do the same thing defragging...

You've played the same games on the same card in another machine with similar case temps?

Does it do this with just gaming or when you run any other cpu intensive programs? Try running F@H or Sisoft Sandra.
