Free Abit BP6 Dual Celeron board!!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally went dual!!!! Yah yah I know, it supports PGA370 Celerons only, but I can get two 533 Celerons with the same SL3PZ stepping. Nabbed it free at my job. Has onboard RAID too

This will probably be my next Halflife server, and the current server will be my CAD rig.

Well i put a vantec iceberq on it and the 40mm failed and it roasted it.. it didnt look melted or black it just stoped working

nice, ive been really looking into getting a dual slot 1 mobo for my server

needs to have onboard scsi tho...havent found anything cheaper then $50

If you need chips I got two PIII 600EB Slot 1's with same stepping, also if you are looking for a good dual PII server board get a Gigabyte GA-6BXDS.

lol i will only need chips if i get a mobo LOL...right now my server is a single p3 450 ( i think its a p3 ) lol

was looking on ebay and it looks like htat i might get ASUS P3C-D Dual Intel Slot 1 P3 Motherboard for pretty cheap..but it takes friggin rdram and no scsi

no scsi is one thing, i can get it for pretty cheap...but rdram is a bitch too $$

im gonna try to setup a server on my old comp. amd 1700 with FIC AD11 mobo. need to find a nice big hdd if possible, and some ram.

What kind of RAM? I have noticed 1 512MB stick of DDR400 gives my server more uptime than 3 sticks adding up to 1 GB (1X 512 Kingston ValueRAM and 2X 256MB Infineon) of PC133 SDRAM. I used to max out at about 26 hours average uptime on my Halflife OZ server and sometimes breaking 30 hours on a good day, on the new machine I'm averaging 48-72 hours of uptime.

The reason why I say this is because on my server, HL OZ does not clear the memory of a players actions when they leave a server. The more action in my server, the less uptime. So in effect, the more RAM and better RAM you put in your server, the more uptime you will have. Just a suggestion.

I'm not sure, never played Steam because every Steam install file I have gotten was corrupt and I'm not about to DL another 700MB only to find it don't work.
