Question Different Ram

Hey I currently have 1 stick of Mushkin 512mb PC2700 DDR Ram -> http://www.mushkin.com/epages/Mushki...ct/View/990927

I want to know if it's ok to mix ram because i was thinking of buying some Corsair 1GB (512x2) XMS3200. I'm running on an Abit NF7-S Rev. 2.0 mobo.

Thanks

So you want to run 1.5 gis of ram heh...Yoru better off not using the pc2700 because..1. It may not work at the ame speed as the corsair ram..also dual channel memory is very picky so it probably wouldnt work either..1 gig of ram is plenty..just keep the other ram for a different pc or sell it.

I would go with m3-tw0's suggestions...unless you're running a server or doing huge 3D renders, there's not much point in having that much RAM. Stability will be a concern too, especially if you decide to overclock.
