Okay, I found out a new thing today, the hard way.
If you are running an nForce2/nForce 2 Ultra 400, and you attempt to use a 100MHZ
FSB processor (Athlon/Duron), it will boot once and refuse to post. Pull everything, it will not give any error code beeps.
This is why. The default
FSB setting is 133+, which the 100MHz doesn't meet. The BIOS setting matches the jumper (if applicable), so setting the jumper to 100MHz will allow you to boot. Apparently the board says that if the default 133 is set, and you use a 100, the 133 isn't met, therefore no
CPU. That's why there are no error beeps. And, why it will boot once, and then refuse to boot again.
