| Apex Techie Lite  |  Laptop Bios Password .... Toshiba Tecra A7 - S612. Is there any way to reset the bios on a laptop? I'll do it even if I have to tear it apart to get to the mobo. If so, is there anything I should know b4 tearing into it? Considering I've never taken a laptop apart b4.... tyvm  oh, almost forgot to put this in here. A little confusing, but I'll wade through it and try to git err done. with this laptop I cant get the bios manufacturer. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to run the keydsk program when I the first thing that comes up is the password request. I think I might try to build one of the db25 "loopbacks" but I have to go buy a db25 cable  | |

| Apex Tech Fanatic Supreme | Re: Laptop Bios Password .... Toshiba makes their own BIOS. The loopback thing might be your best bet, go to radio shack and buy a db25 connector, sacrifice an old piece of cat 5 for the wires. If you cant solder they have some with crimp type pins. | |
