Eastwing programs only work if you have the procs installed. From his post I am sure he does not have them installed. As for The question.. You can go to intels site and cross refrence the cpu id numbers to tell what they are if in fact they are intel chips..

to BA and Bio,
if i did somthing wrong let me know. the sotware i spoke about is shareware and it can help to identify unknown hardware. you just run it an it can help you fiure out what you got in your rig if you dont know.

Don't worry bro not a big deal. The first thing that came to my mind was having him hook it up and run WCPUID too see but I paid attention to his post and he does not have them installed so I suggested he refrence the numbers to intels website..You just have to pay attention to how people word thier posts..

if uyou think they're p2's, then they are a slot type cpu with a plasic cartridge around them. on the TOP of the plastic cart, (opposite end with the pins, the narrow part not the wide part) there should be a bunch of small number printed on it in a gold font. the top line will tell you all that you need to know. it should look something like the following:

500/512/100/2.0v S1

(i actually pulled this off of a p3 but they are the same)

the first number tells you your speed. in this case it would be 500mhz.

the second number tells you your l2 cache size. in this case, its 512kb.

hte third number tells you your front side bus. in this case, its 100mhz.

the 4th number is the cpu core's voltage. nor really relevant, but in this case its 2.0v.

The 5th and final number (i think) is the stepping code. only reason for this really is to tell how good of an oc'er it is without actually ocing it.

hope i helped.

They are old maybe P1 i wouldn't know i like AMD but the chip looks like it is Ceramic? it is an ugly brown and on the non-keyed corned the chip goes at an angle instead of having four corners. Kind like this:

---------------------
Intel
Pentuim

\____________|
Sorry this doesn't help but it is the best i can do

The brown ones are pentium classics. non mmx, probably sub 166mhz. Have fun target shooting with them.

it depends of the shade of brown

all the pentium 1s were brown i have both a regular and an MMX and they are bother very similar in color, the pentium non mmx came in 90, 133, and 150, the mmx came in 133, 166 and 233- but form the age this sounds like a 486, and they would know if its a entium for pentiums say "pentium" on them

hardware geek, perhaps you neglected to read some of the stuff above,
