So I believe I just broke my motherboard.

I was testing the voltage on the system fan connection when I accidentally touched both connectors with one multimeter probe (while the computer was on). Now it wont POST. The fans come on, but neither the power nor the HDD LEDs come on.

Have you tried un pluging it and removing the battery from the MOBO, thats what I'd do if you havent

Thanks, Spatha. Had I not followed your advice, I would not have noticed that, when I went to reset the system after the initial problem, the reset button had been stuck in.

I probably would have noticed a few hours later after having removed everything from the case, mobo and all.

Thank goodness I didn't hose the motherboard, or I would have been out $50.
