Default North Bridge Fan stopped

I glanced in my window not to long ago and noticed that my north bridge fan wasn't running so I'm like WTF?!

I opened the side panel and made sure it was still plugged in all the way and it of course was. So I took it out and plugged it firmly back it... Still no go.

Any idea? My computer has been running for almost two days now but I don't think that should have anything to do with it.

Help is much appreciated.

EDIT: I only bring up that its been on for just about two days because when I restarted it, the fan came back on... Go figure..

What's it plugged into? A mobo header or the psu?

Also, how old is the fan? I found the 50mm fans or my northbridge only lasted a year - I go without now.

If you are worried about it I would replace the fan. Watch your temps and if they go up too much then replace the fan. If the temps are fine then leave it without a fan.

A northbridge fan isn't needed if you aren't OCing it too much or if you have some good air circulating.

I understnad that I could go without it, the only thing was that the motherboard is about a week, week and a half old.

Th eComputers been on for 6 horus now and the fans still goin fine so I think I'm set.
