Hardware Monitoring on Intel Motherboard

OK, Im sure you guys dont use Intel motherboards (usually lacking in OC'ability) but I will ask anywho.

I have an Intel D865glc mobo (socket 478). If you go into the BIOS under Hardware Monitoring (temps, fan speed and such) the damn thing hangs the system. After cycling power all works fine but its still annoying. I have never got into this section of the BIOS.

Included, however, was a Windows based hardware monitoring utility that I use and it works fine. Apparently the problem is not with the sensors if the WIndows utility reads them fine.

Whats the problem, anybody have any ideas??

Hate to return a board for such a petty problem - this board is great. I had trouble with my previous Gigabyte/AMD combo that I diagnosed as crappy mobo (constant problem)...after swapping out this board is awesome. I *never* have had to restart the system for anything less then hardware and Windows XP update.

This is my one and only problem....should I just get over it???

You could try flashing the bios if this really bothering you or it's causing some other problem. For reading temps in windows, download motherboard monitor 5, its the best program out there for reading temps, fan speeds, and voltages.
